jdollarconsider a RWS 5G. it is a break barrel springer that comes with Tru-Glow open sights that in .177 shoots about 550-600fps( forget the 700fps they advertise- that is only with ultra light pellets that aren't adequate for hunting). in .177 it will work fine IF YOU LIMIT YOURSELF TO HEAD SHOTS! i have a red dot sight on mine( at my age, open sights just don't cut it). trigger is adjustable( although still a bit stiff) and once your are used to it accuracy is fine inside of 25 yards.

doctorxring.
Another one to consider is the Webley Alecto. This gun would wack a rabbit at 25. I agree with JD. Head shots. Get closer if possible with any pistol though.
This gun has a nice trigger and very sweet firing cycle, being a pneumatic gun. Available
in 177 or 22.

carpetman1.177 or .22--get the best of both worlds and get a 5mm (.20 cal). A Sheridan Streak will fill the bill.

PAPIHey Bill,
To be truthfull,.. I can't remember, & don't want to make any claims based on my poooor, memory

But,I can safely say,.. it was very dependant on what " .25 cal Pellet Weight " used .
I've done some testing in the past, & documented the Theoben test results, which I wanted to compared with those " Advertised " !
I did pick up some very light Pellets (Gamo Raptor) to specifically test/use with my pistol, but haven't gotten around to it " YET "..
http://forums.accuratereloadin...781009241#1781009241 I'll try to set-up my testing gear @ my next monthly " Junior Smallbore Match "
( One of many Hobbies )
I've been somewhat, pre-occupied with work ; Cut-Backs /
Retirement issue's, this past year.
