N E 450 No2Ballistol Test
Well we have all heard the claims for Ballistol...
I pulled a tick out of the back of my arm a few days ago. Since then the "wound" has been leaking fluid.
I put H2O2 [hydrogen peroxide] on it several times, with no effect.
So a while ago I put some Ballistol on it...

We will see what happens.

303GuyHope it works! I trick I have used with wounds that won't heal is to use a patch soaked in sodium hypochlorate (household bleach) plastered over the wound for a few days. It has to be refreshed from time to time as it dries out and it has to be kept sealed from the outside world lest it bleaches everyting it touches!
Just don't go develope tick-bite fever. That's a headache you can do without!

Gary SurkoApple cider vinager will fix you right up.
Ive tried everything including Ballistol to stop the itch from tick bites. I have yet to find something that works! Tried Ballistol for heartburn and it definately does work. P.S. I use it on my guns too!

Von GruffPure natural honey is one of the best to halp in the healing process. I would wash with the viniger and wrap with a honey poltice.

Sure hope you did not accidentally leave the "Tick Head" inside the wound. It will have a very difficult time healing if that is the situation.
We use some kind of fuel(Coal Oil, Kerosene, JP-5, gasoline, diesel), or the end of a hot ember on a stick to get them to back out.
Agree with 303Guy that the Deer Tick Fever is not something to play with. Well worth a trip to the Dr to have it checked out.
A sincere best of luck to you.
