Redleg6Bore Snakes
I've had several obsolete calibers....a .333 Jeffery NE being the latest. As the Bore Snake is manufactured only for modern calibers, for the most part, I've always wondered which one to buy. For the .333 I went with a .32/8mm and I just run it through several more times than normal. My thought are that it is much preferable to have a slightly smaller Bore Snake than taking the chance of getting a larger one stuck in the bore. What are your feelings?
Regards,
Bob

7mm mashburnI might try a snake for 338 but dont rely on the snake to clean your barrel real well. My brother and i use snakes at the range for a quick clean between different loads, but clean them good when we get home

Redleg6I pretty much use the snakes as a field expedient only.

tiggertateThey are unlikely to get stuck. I clean my 9.3s (.366) with a .375 Bore Snake all the time.
