Whopper StopperGetting powder burns off stainless
I know I read it some where but what is the best method of getting powder residue off a stainless revolver? I used regular bore cleaner and most of it came off but there is still a couple of spots that are dark by the front of the cylinder.
Thanks

MichiganScottTipton and RIG both sell lead and rust remover cloths that they claim will also remove powder fouling. They do not recommend using on blued finishes. I believe this is what you are looking for.

craigsterI use Kleen Bore Lead Away Cloth, probably no different than the Tipton or RIG products. I have also used bronze wool lubed with Hoppe's # 9.

mike7mm08Flitz liquid polish, not the paste. Works great and each time you clean the fouling seems to come off easier.

Head TraumaCommon household cleaners I use on stainless revolvers are CLR and Lime Away. Both clean the cylinder face really well and are easy to use.
