I own two Springfield XDs and was wondering if it is OK to use spray can action cleaning solvents that evaporate quickly and leave behind zero residue to clean out the polymer frames?

I called Springfield and thay said the polymer frames are solvent proof and go a head and use them with no worries, but I value the opinions of thoses here as well. Or at least we will possably answer this question for others as well.
