Proper cleaning procedure
I've always cleaned my guns by soaking the bronze brush in Hoppes making a few back and forth passes down the bore, soak the brush again make a few more back and forth passes and then finish up by running a couple dry patches down the bore. Roughly 1 back and forth pass for each round fired. All this from the breech end of course. Recently I've read that you should just use soaked patches and no back and forth with the bronze brush. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I pause after brushing to let solvents work, then a dry patch, then solvent soaked patches until they come out clean + the same with dry patches and finally, an oiled patch followed by a dry one to mop up excess oil. Also, I brush and dry the chamber too.
