November 2014. No reply necessary, boor.

A boor cajoles someone into drinking vodka with him.
Maybe he'd best use an alias, lest he come across as a total boor.
Do it poorly, and you risk coming across as a narcissistic boor.

I personally do not like the Craig bashing sometimes seen here

If life has taught me one thing, it is to walk a mile in a mans shoes, before trying to kick him while he's down.

I dont know Craig at all, but from what I have heard of him there must have been some serious issues for him to have made the decision he did.

Perhaps the man has chosen the lesser of two evils, we wouldn't know even if he had.

All told, if Craig is who I think he is, he will make a plan to make right that which has hurt others. Just give him some time.

My motto in life is similar, albeit different.

"Never speak harshly about a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes. That way, you are at least a mile away and you have his shoes."

Most would fit your accurate description. I've met Jim Shockey twice. He was an excellent guy to talk to.

if only Jim was speaking and doing in Canada what is doing or done in USA that will make a different place speaking of guns and hunts. for me he is like other ``stars`` of the show.

Fujotupu and Andrew nailed it there is no need for tv to make a good hunting time but some needs or wants it.

i never had very good experiences with hunting show crew while guiding and trust me we had a lot coming for caribou hunting ... free lunch attract a lot of them and i shared some campfires or discussion with Jim or others.... but it is a little of topic,

Charl,
You're a lucky man. I got to meet and talk to Craig at the show in Raleigh, NC. He was manning the SCI booth right across ours.
Came over a couple of times to have a chat.

Craig was an absolute gentleman, and has gained my respect. Not for what he has, who he is, or what he has done, but for the individual that pitched up at the show and had the time to come over to my booth and talk to some small time outfitter from the Eastern Cape.

Thanks for sharing your report!

Nice post Charl. Thanks for posting. I would love to hunt with Craig. I've admired his writing since I was in high school over 30 years ago.

Despite Craig's personnel affairs I have thoroughly enjoyed his videos and writings. Glad you had a chance to hunt with him and thanks for the report!
