Back From Limpopo
Got back from the Limipopo Province in SA on November 1st. I have not written my story yet as I get rather long winded when I write about something I love. So, when I have the full story written, I will post it.

A little to go with the pictures:

Hunted in Limipopo Province in SA with Scott Van Zyl of SS Pro Safaris. This is my second trip with Scott. Animals taken were female lion, nyala, warthog, klipspringer, impala, waterbuck, duiker, blue wildebeest.

Ended up being hospitalized for 5 days with some infection plus I am a diabetic. Scott took care of everything, getting me to the doctor and hospital and when people wanted payment, Scott left them one of his own checks until I was back on my feet. Scott is not only a great PH but also a true friend.
I have the floating bones from the lion as they call them and was told I should make a good luck necklace out of them or something. Does anyone know a good jewelor or something that can do it? I also have the shell case that can be used in it.

Here are the pictures, hope I get them posted right.

It is not often that I can look at a plainsgame animal and be truly impressed. That is a Warthog son! Wow! I want one like that.

Sorry you got sick, did they know what it was? Lots of fun bugs in Africa that us Americans can not tolerate. I know what it is like in an African hospital. That is no good.

All in all, you have very nice animals. Well done.

Very nice collection of trophies. The klippie and the duiker are very nice but that warthog is a boomer.

The klippie is a hoss too! Great trophies! Hats off to your PH for taking excellent care of you when you fell ill. Good chap, that.

I have no actual measurement, I did not have a tape with me. But the length from my pinky tip to thumb tip is 6 3/4 inches and tusks from gumline to tip were over two of those lengths. So I guess they are pushing over 15 inches. We were actually hunting the exact pig as Scott had seen him before, once. Three thing of luck helped:1. It was the day after I got out of the hospital 2. I got my nyala earlier, which I did not think I would get 3. Most important, it was my 42nd birthday.

Here is a close-up of the klipspringer. I very proud of him, they are very tough to hunt.

David,

Congratulations on a very fine bag. As others have said, you've got some "hosses" there, not the least of which is that monster-toothed pig!!!

And glad to know you're okay after the illness.

Nice going!

Pardon me, but...how did you happen upon a lion in Limpopo?

I would appreciate details about this trophy, if you don't mind.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. Those are some beautiful animals.
That klippie sure looks old. The bases look thick and the "rings" goes quite a long way up the horns. Do you know the green score..? The other are great as well..
