They were close alright. I would have been out of the blind so fast as the water is right in front of the blind and the mamba was drinking right there. The tree was right next to the blind. Snakes are not my thing. Glad Erick and David got some pics because I would have been miles away from there.

LittleJoeYes, there is a fence. 100k or so acres.
There are thousands of Blue Wildebeest and some Black Wildebeest but not nearly as many as the blues.
There is one herd of Black Females being covered by a Blue bull. Interesting cross they have made.

SvinejaktAbundance of animals here of every specie. Is it 3 leopards in the one picture. Just amazing

16 December 2012, 08:57
LittleJoeyes, three leopards in that picture.
The trophy quality is amazing. The number of animals seen was amazing.
David has filmed all over the world and when he says he is impressed you know that you have something special. We were all ecstatic with what we saw and were able to take.
The number of big Kudu that were passed was unreal. To watch three 55"+ bulls for a half hour and let them walk away was an amazing experience. We saw really big Kudu every day along with alot of other species.

SvinejaktNo doubt a good place to go hunting

every report from this place has been great. WOuld be a great trip to start with hunting and do a safari in Okavango delta afterwards.

LittleJoeIt would be an absolute dream for any plains game hunter, bow hunter or first time to Africa hunter. A place that a person easily gets spoiled and will be hard to top in the future.

LittleJoeI should have posted this earlier. Jason was at the DSC show.
He will be at the Houston show as well. He will be in the Sporting International Booth.
I will get the booth numbers for SCI as well and post them.
Stop by and visit with Jason and Claire. They are top notch.

jjbullJustin,
Please give my best to Jason and Claire in Reno.
And tell them the next 18 months will never pass quickly enough for us.
Jeff

LittleJoeJeff, I will. Chatting with them about the next adventure and going to dinner as a thank you for all they have done. It is an amazing place and I cannot wait to go back.

LittleJoeI have been contacted by several people about Kanana. I made a photo book through Shutterfly and have emailed it to several people that wanted more info. If you have an interest let me know and I will send you the link.
Several people have questioned how we could shoot that many species and not hurt trophy quality. Trust me. There is a strict management policy in place and we did not make a dent in the population.
There are tight quotas on species like giraffe, kudu, eland to maintain quality.
Kanana might not have as many species as some places in RSA but the species they do have; they have in abundance.
I am glad to speak with anyone considering a safari with Kanana. I cannot wait to go back.

BenKKJustin, you're not helping me build immunity to temptation! That place keeps looking better and better. Can you please send me that link? Thank you.

LittleJoeBen. Send me your email address and I will email you the link.

LittleJoeI have to put a shout out to newest AR member. Stomper. If not for him I would have never heard about Kanana. Thanks Tony!!!!

LittleJoeJust another tidbit. I am not a booking agent or representative of Kanana. I am just a hunter that had an unbelievable safari. I have nothing to gain or lose with anyone that books or choses to go elsewhere. Anytime I can put out a good word for someone that showed me a good time; I will.
Thanks again, Jason, Claire, Will, Happy, Morlen and David.

LittleJoeIt is fenced but you would not know it. A huge property. Over 100,000 acres.
Camp is 3 1/2 hours from Maun and past Ghanzi.
