Dave. Enjoyed your telling of the story of the red sable at FTW. He is a great old fella. Excellent he fell to you and not predators.

Thanks guys
Yes, that hunt will be a part of a upcoming episode of Tracks Across Africa . Really a sable factory at Nchila, he is not even close to the biggest Craig and I saw there. A grand old bull for sure and I will be honored to have him relocate to Ft. Worth as soon as Dan at The Wildlife Gallery has him mounted. One of my best trophies, no doubt.

Great Sable! What are the odds of a combo hunt for Sable & buff there? I am loookign for a good place where I can do both, hoepfully on a 10day safari.

That is a great Sable.

Is it just me or is the colour a bit more brown than normal for a mature Sable. The few I saw in RSA were very black.

Dave Fulson
He was very old, and wounded badly in a rear leg which got him kicked out of the breeding and I believe resulted in his more brown coloration.
I have seen that before in other sable, but as you saw that did not make me pass that opportunity!!!!
