Plains Game Hunt with Mike Kibble, Namibia
A friend and I have just returned from a hunt with Mike Kibble in Namibia.

To say it was successful, would be an understatement! This was my fifth African hunt and far and away the best. Mike is a great character and a thorough professional to boot. He has large and widespread concessions as well as his own very big ranch. We hunted from the 16th of May to the 3rd of June.
Animals that we took include a 24" and a 25" Red Hartebeast, 3 Kudu, a 55", 56" and a bloody beautiful 58"! On his Kalahari concession we shot a 17.5 inch Springbuck as well as 2 Gemsbok bulls of 41" and 42". I also couldn't help myself and took a cow of 44"! We also travelled to the Khomas Hochland for Mountain Zebra, where we both got nice stallions.
The food and wine served by Mike's wife Sonja was outstanding together with terrific accomodation.
To sum up if you want a fun hunt AND take outstanding trophies, hunt with Mike. His email address is progress@mweb.com.na
And...... you will shoot the ugliest warthogs in Africa with this PH!!

RM007,

My camera got damaged on the second day of the hunt.........the PH is sending me a CD with all his photos. Might take a few days before I can attempt to post them, mate.......

Who are you going to hunt with? Only 39 days to go, you lucky bastard. And what are you after?

Waiting on pics of that 44" Gemsbok, this has to be my favorite animal. Love to watch them run.

Live everyday, like it was your last!!

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Montana,

I booked the hunt through Atchesons and Keith has the CD of the photos......he should be back in the States in about a week, he will then forward it to me and I will then figure out how to post themSmiler!!

Legally, taking a cow is not a problem, I am led to believe,...... ethically it is a decision for the client. Many clients want both a bull and a cow.

The bull I took has amazing bases and carries the weight all the way. To me it was the trophy of the hunt. The sheer quality and number of the gemsbok on Mike's Kalahari concession is amazing, although if you don't want to travel you can take a nice head on his own ranch.

Hope the photos do the animals justice.
