LV EricI have a online friend from Spain who is into sharks like some of us are into hunting around here. Anyways he has done it many times and says its amazing and everyone should do it. I think it would be a blast and its safe so why not? Go for it and let us know how it goes. I would do it in a second.

JKeithMy son was there two summers ago and did this dive...he absolutely loved it. The photos and one vid he made of the sharks were awesome. Had 8 great whites come in...some really big ones.
If you want his email address to ask him directly, let me known.

ErikD http://www.sharkdivingunlimited.com/ is a well known company worth checking out. The owner Michael Rutzen is a good guy, and one of the few who also free dives with Great Whites for film teams. So he definatly knows what he's doing with sharks! Check out the gallery pages...
Just remember that a lot depends on the weather. We were unfortunate and had a week of storms when we were in the area. Thus we only got to see Great Whites from on deck. The sea was too rough, and visabilaty so poor, that going in the water was pointless.
It was still worth it though!

tommygunn5645Bowhunr,
I have done numerous shark dives including one great white trip. None have been in South Africa, but they certainly have great success there. It is a thrilling experience that you will remember for the rest of your life. There is no creature on earth that is quite as awe inspiring as a great white.
