safari-lawyerSuper cat.
When big guys like you and me hoist up a leopard and he still looks HUGE, then HE IS HUGE.
Not a bad conservancy elephant bull either.
What about dates, when were you there?
Don't you just love the Save?

bwanamrmSo the bet was you had to shave the goat when you killed your cat????
LOL!

Congratz on a great hunt and some super trophies!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

505 gibbsThanks guys, let me see if I can answer all of the questions, I was in zim August of 08, showed up with the goat and a full head of hair, left bald and clean shaven (thats ok, Leon did too), they weighed the cat at the skinning shed and to be honest I don't remember exactly as it was in kg's rather than American, for some reason 85-90 sticks in my head. If that translates into some crazy number I may be wrong. We hunted for this cat (Leon had seen the track with the hunter before me but he would not come to bait) for 6 or 7 days, the ranch looked like a slaughter house with Impala hanging everywhere. Finally a Female that he was with came to a bait (I think on the far Northeast corner of the concession) and he shredded a civet cat (to show off I guess) and made the mistake of leaving a single track on the side of the road. Tristan brought in the hounds and 3-4 hours/8-10km later we talked him into posing for that pic w/me. I have hunted bear and mountain lion with dogs, both were fun but I will probably never do again. Hunting Leopard with dogs is the most intense experiance I have ever had and I want to do it again, with a pistol. Also, yes the Klippie was a brute, he is standing lifesize behind my desk as I type this. My leopard will be on the wall as soon as he gets done posing for pics, I will post when I get him. Going to Moz with Kwan & Jdollar mid Sept. will post pics when I get back.
