Dagga BoyUganda Report
Outdoor writer, Mel Toponce and his wife Sandy had a great time this past November in Uganda. You can read the full report at the link below.
http://www.huntingreport.com/t..._jan_2008_uganda.cfmIt looks like Uganda is still in the process of getting its hunting program together. Mel has some good tips about potential pitfalls.

Dagga BoyYou're welcome for the post. I thought Mel did a good job describing his experience.
We always like to see hunting opportunites expanded. It seems there are always enough of things going the other way.
It's a place to keep an eye on because the potential is great. Just do your due dilligence, as usual.

BrettAKSCIIs there any dangerous game offered in Uganda yet? I seem to remember leopard? What are the chances of buffalo or lion?

Dagga BoyTo the best of our knowledge at The Hunting Report, the only leopards hunted have been problem leopards by Kaka Matama.
No lion and no buffalo yet, but Christian Weth is hoping for a quota on the buffalo. Things are still being sorted out.

GunsCoreThanks for that link Dagga Boy. It really lifted my spirits over the future of African hunting. I want to go.

SevensMel was actually telling me about this hunt not to long ago. Mel loves to use his recurve bow to hunt, but didn't bring it for fear of not having enough opportunities. He said he should have brought it because there was plenty of game. Speaks well that there are lots of animals still there to hunt.
