Mbalabala Safaris - End of Season Report 2019
Our season has been action packed one in which we have been rewarded with some fantastic trophies.

Leopard:

This year we have taken 5 leopards, with our Insiza concession producing 2 remarkable cats. The other 2 leopards were taken in our Makuti Concession and the Omay produced another excellent cat. We have found this year that a number of the cats are feeding throughout the day making it a more challenging quest.

Buffalo:

As usual our Makuti Concession has produced some outstanding trophies this year. We are happy to say there are still some notable dagga boys still amongst the equally notable herds. Matetsi Unit 1 also produced some excellent dagga boys this year for us.

Elephant:

Our Hwange concession always produces some spectacular big bodies non trophy bulls. The dry spell combined with the heat made our elephant safaris slightly more challenging this year.

Plains Game:

We have had some fine plains game trophies taken at various concessions throughout the country.

Hyena:

We have given Hyena their own section this year as there have been a number of them taken this year by clients. For those who hunted hyena with us this year, can agree these have been some very thrilling expeditions.

South Africa:

This is a new undertaking for us. Some of our clients have expressed an interest in taking animals in South Africa, so we have sought out some reputable operators and facilitated a safari in South Africa for our clients. Some fantastic trophies have been taken as a result.

Fishing:

As tradition dictates, fishing is almost always done after a safari and our Makuti and Sidinda camps did not let us down – with some splendid tiger fish being caught on the River.

Conservation:

We now have 100 Buffalo, 20 Kudu, 20 Waterbuck and 20 Zebra released into our Sidinda Conservancy. They continue to grow in numbers despite the shortage of natural grazing.

We would like to thank all those hunters who have joined us this year and look forward to an even more exciting season next year

Regards
