Guy WhittallRWS - Rejuvenation after the Drought of 2016
We have welcomed February with open arms and been blessed with fabulous rains to date.
My wife Hannah and Butch Coaton had an enjoyable trip to the USA, and attended the SCI show in Las Vegas who both thoroughly enjoyed - and it was great for them to see so many of you there.
We are looking forward to a brilliant Season and welcoming many of you back to Humani and the Save Valley Conservancy and to any first timers we can wait for you to experience an African Safari
Herewith the link to a Video we have just had completed to show the rejuvenation after the drought last year.

Carolina CounselGuy- that's an awesome video. How did the plains game fair with the drought? Any species take a particularly big hit?

R. GunnJustin, you are the man. I still have some of your butterfly pictures as my wall paper on my computer.

Guy WhittallCarolina Counsel good question. The grazers like wildbeast and zebra migrated to the west of the SVC which is a natural trend. They are back now in large numbers on the flats. The browsers had no problem as there was sufficient browse along the Turgwe and Save rivers.

bwanamrmSo great to see the rains hitting southern Africa!
Great job on the vid. The kids and the drone made me laugh out loud. Always enjoy seeing the kids when traveling in Africa...
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Well done Justin and Guy, a great video. Hats off to the Whittall Family....true conservationists who have kept it going strong under extreme duress. May there be many good years to follow the tough ones!
