tuskless with Tinie Kok

Was lucky enough to have Tinie Kok as my PH at Nagamo/Sukumi Safari Area. This was a Buffalo/Tuskess hunt. Killed a very heavy boss bull, 39" first day! Though that was as exciting a hunt as was possible. We looked at over 1400 cow elephant before finding three tuckless in one group. My Ph's would not give up Tinie on the 9th day found a 45 yr. old tuskless which I killed,my first elephant.Most exciting hunt I ever had. While searching for Tuskless we were able to spend some time viewing a very large elephant Tinie though would go 80lbs, After my return home Tinie emailed that his next client was able to kill the Elephant and that it was a 100lbs!!!Can't help but believe this will not be his last as no one ever works harder or brings more to a safari than Tinie does.

Do you have an estimate on how many elephant bulls you saw?

Since we were hunting tusk less we focused mostly on the cows.but Russ broom was in camp with Don Stoner and shot a 90lb first day,after Russ left Buzz Charlton arrived with his Dr. Client and by the end of my safari he had turned down over 80 bulls looking for something north of 90lbs. We saw many bulls at least 50, the Elephat were pouring out of Hawange.

Tinie is a great PH. I had him last year up in Omay North. Boy, what a difference a few months makes. I was in Ngamo in July hunting Sable and there weren't many Elephants in Ngamo at the time.
I really like Ngamo, it is a beautiful place to hunt and if they can get more waterholes up and running could be a spectacular hunting destination.

How is Tinie's first and last name pronounced?

I hope he has a sense of humor and doesn't beat me to a pulp if we ever cross paths.

Pronounced---Cock, he takes a lot of ribbing. Tinie (pronounced Tinnie)is diverted to Tiny, etc. His real first name is Marthinus. He is second generation PH and lives in Bulawayo.

Reminds me of the Johnnie cash song, "A boy named Sue". I bet Tinie's one tough son of a gun to go through life with that name.
