We saw you on your cell phone at the SAA desk, but didn't think it was a good time to introduce ourselves. Did you make it over?

MLindsayStevie,
When you saw me I was somewhat stressed! I was talking to Barb at International Journeys. She got me a flight D.C. and I visited the passport office and had a new one in about 1.5 hours. I took the flight on Friday.

HunterJimSteve,
Sounds like you had a great hunt, and you can see why I have hunted with Shangaan twice now -- and am so high on them.

stevieMy father and I just returned this week from what proved to be the trip of a lifetime. We hunted with Shangaan Hunters on the Save Valley Conservancy in Zimbabwe.
I cannot say enough good things about this outfit. From the moment we were picked up at the Harare airport, we were treated like royalty. The lodge we stayed in is built on a kopje and we woke up every morning watching the African sunrise just by lifting our heads from our pillows. The food, the staff, everything...first class.
The hunting was everything I imagined it to be and more. We had great success with the plains game we were after. Zebra, kudu, impala, wildebeest, warthog etc. were in great abundance. We also saw plenty of buffalo though we were not hunting them.
What made the hunting even more enjoyable was the wildness. No high fences and only indigineous species. The Save Valley Conservancy is a 1 million acre hunting paradise with no interior fences. We saw lion, buffalo, rhino, elephant, lion kills, and a host of other fascinating things.
This was a first trip to Africa for both me and my father. My father and I have been hunting together for 30 years, and this was quite a special trip for us both.
I would recommend Shangaan Hunters to anyone.

Well said. The world is full of people who find reasons not to have adventures. We get one life, so live it well and to the full.

MLindsayCongratulations on a fine hunt. Sorry I didn't get to meet you and your dad at Atlanta, my passport problem happened quickly so all was changed.
