Looking for a reference on this PH. Am thinking of booking with him in 2007 and would be interested if anyone has any experience with him or with the area near the town of Omaruru, about 3-4 hours northwest of Windhoek.

I hunted with a different outfit in the Omaruru area in 2004. The particular ranch I hunted lost a lot of Kudu to rabies, but the area was still good. My partner killed a great kudu on the ranch and I killed one on a neighboring ranch.

Without going into alot of detail, I think your money would be better spent with a different PH. I have heard from 2 different unrelated people that he has had a few personal setbacks in the last couple of years and a hunt with him might not be up to snuff (or worse).

I hunted with Ziggy he had good hunting the food was good & my room was very nice. (but) I would not hunt with him again. He did not meet us at the airport & was a day late. His 13 year old son was a royal pain in the ass. Erwin went along hunting & took his rifel & could give a shit which way it was pointed I ask him to leave it in the truck but that never happened. We never got our trophies & never will. I am not mad at Ziggy & I wish him well may be things are better now & I hope so.His mother in law was a real star wish I could see her again She ran the house well & is a great cook. Just my 2 cents.
