Jack D BoldMike,
I sure do not know. Maybe some of our more knowledgeable friends can weigh in.
While they are at it, I took this cool impala. Doesn't look like any of the others I have shot. Anybody know why it's face looks so dark?
Thanks

Todd WilliamsCongrats on a great safari. Some excellent trophies there.
I've taken my oldest son on 2 safaris and my youngest son once this past June for a Leopard hunt in Zim. IMO, there is nothing better than spending time afield with your kids, especially in Africa. It adds significantly to the expense, but if there was ever a situation where you get what you pay for, having the kids along and watching them experience the awe of hunting Africa is it. I got much more satisfaction watching my kids hunt than hunting myself.
Congrats on a great father / son outing!

Skip NantzMopaneMike,
I shot one there in Feb. I thought they had the Limpopo bushbuck. I kept commenting on how reddish they were but no one there would correct me on saying they were Limpopo. That is not a fair picture of the bushbuck that is posted. Very much a Chobe! Will post mine if need a better body shot.

MopaneMikeGentleman, Thank you for your reply's Re: Bushbuck..
My Chobe on my wall is indeed a very distinct red along with all the other Chobe BB's I've seen.
While at Nixon's I saw what appeared to be a taller version BB as well as almost black lower bodied fading towards a darker red from mid-body on up.. A very striking animal.. If I wouldn't have stood there in slack jawed awe, he would be on my wall next to my Chobe BB swapping lies about all the lady BB's they've known..

h kittleThanks for posting. You guys certainly had a great hunt. Nixon is indeed a hard working PH. When I was their this past November we had a 80# plus that came right into the camp on two consecutive nights. Unfortunately he left before shooting light.

graybirdExcellent safari and congrats to you both.
I'm excited about taking my 3 year old out to a pheasant ranch to chase a few birds on Saturday. He has been wanting to hunt birds with my bird dog, Dakota. Therefore, it was his motivation for night time potty training!!
I can't even imagine taking him across the pond yet, but I will certainly relish in the opportunity.
Congrats again!!!

retreeverAlex,
A couple of things, I am glad you brought your Dad with you. You sure set the stage with making the shot on your game animals. Do well in school and make sure next time Dad makes the shot on a big bull ele.

BEGNOCongrats Jack to you and Alex. Very nice hunt. Great trophies and memories. Sorry I didn't comment earlier. I was with Nixon when you posted. Nixon spoke highly of both of you. I'm sure you already know this but Nixon would listened to VOA (Voice of America) radio every night and Nixon kept me posted on Romney's and Santorum's delegate count. He loves American politics and he is not a fan of Obama.
