SAFARIKIDAnyone Hunted Mount Monduli or Gelai in Tanzania for Buff?
Working on next years plans for Buff...anyone tried the cool forest at the higher elevations (5000-9000'!)Sound like a nice change and challenge!I hear it is a "Enchanted" place of heavy cover, mist and fog.May even get to meet Tarzan (or Jane!)...The catch is you wont see as many buff due to the thick jungle.

MARK H. YOUNGI hunte Galai on '03 and your right in that it is enchanted. The flowers, trees and birds are like nothing I've experienced anywhere else in Africa. Galai provides a dramatic change from the burning plain on the valley floor. A buffalo hunt could be a butt puckering experience there as you often can't see them only a matter of feet away. I was up there for 3 days and could have shot 2 bulls easily but they did not have the spread I was looking for. Make sure you try for a Masai bushbuck as there are many there and nice ones. Bushpig are also in good numbers near water.
