barrywLeopards Valley Safari, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Just got back from a wonderful safari with Dave and Nikki Davenport at Leopards Valley Safari in Eastern Cape.
The lodging was great. Nikki's cooking was even better. The kudu lasagna was wonderful. The PH, Craig Done and the tracker worked together like a well-oiled machine.
This was the most challenging hunt I have been on in Africa. If you want to hunt and shoot from the truck, shoot at animals in small properties and real close shots, this place is not for you. You don't have to be a long range sniper, but 150-250 yard shots are normal.
The drought has taken its toll on the habitat, but even give that, the animals were in good condition, and trophy animals were plentiful.
I hope to return to LVS before my Africa hunting days are over.
