Super lion taken in Burkina Faso (MORE PHOTOS ADDED)
Richard has informed me that he has just taken a very nice full mained lion (rare in Burkina) with a client of his in Burkina Faso. I will post photos as soon as I get them. This was the hunt that I had posted earlier on AR which was a real steal.

This year again Richard has been 100% on tracked lion, which is pretty good I have to say. As usual we will have two permits for next year, if anyone is interested please let me know. We are still waiting for prices to be fixed for next year, I will post them once I have them!

Sincerely,

That's a really nice lion for that area.
Too bad we can't import them (or leopards) here.

Ide,

You can import lion from Burkina Faso into the States. Leopard is protected and cannot be hunted in Burkina.

Thanks for the correction.
Thought that whole region was non-importable for lion.
Again this lion is really very nice. Most of them have manes like Abe Lincoln's beard.

Lions need to live long enough in order to grow a full mane Wink

Here is a better photo showing the mane

Keep in mind this is an exceptional lion for Burkina Faso. Even Lions that die of old age over there dont grow full manes. Its a matter of genetics and local conditions.

How old did the Ph estimate it to be?
