Paul FranklinCan not find a thread...
...for the life of me. I have searched for a thread by Stuntpilot, maybe a year ago, called Bullet performance on the Big Five, and can not find it with any search I do. Can anyone link me to it?
thanks,
Paul

Did he post it here or just on NitroExpress?

I couldn't find that one. I saw his posts just before he left, but not a hunt summary here. Could have been on NitroExpress.
Sorry wasn't much help.

NitroXI think he posted it on both forums.
If you do a search on "ErikD" and use key words, nothing on AR comes up in the search.

It's right here on AR:
My cow ele hunt. Thanks for pointing this out guys.
If you go back 9 or 10 pages here in the Hunt Report Forum, you'll find it. But as you mention, for some reason, nothing comes up when a search is done for my name and/or for topics and names mentioned in my report. I tried to search for Myles (the first name of my PH who is mentioned a zillion times in my report), yet I only see posts from other members who have mentioned him.

Perhaps I've been put on some kind of "AR shit list" for some reason, and thus, my user name has been marked in some way so that my hunt report doesn't come up when a search is done?

I wonder if there are other "hidden" reports made by other AR members out there?

Charles_HelmWeird that it did not show up in searches. Some of your posts definitely do.

Its not you, or anyone else. I have bumped into this dozens and dozens of times while searching for old threads, mainly my own. The problem is that the search function with this software just sucks for some reason. Its usually (but obviously not always) good for posts made within the last year or two, but anything older than that is a crap shoot.
Wish I knew why it has trouble, even when you use the right poster name and key words. It would save me tonnes of time.
Cheers,
Canuck

Chris,
That thought crossed my mind too. So I went and did a search on a bunch of the hunt reports on the last pages (which is back to 2002) using the same method; specified user name + a name or frase from their report. None of these had any trouble coming up.
Perhaps you're also on some secret shit list, and just don't know it!

Conspiracy theories can be fun, but I doubt it in this case.

I couldn't see a real pattern to it either, other than that the older ones are the hardest to find (more often that not anyway).
Cheers,
Chris
ps: the last time it really ticked me off was looking for Ross Spagrud's old posts, and some of jeffeosso's. I could practically remember the whole first line of the post, but the search engine still couldn't find them. I ended up scrolling through a bunch of jeffe's posts to find his....and thats a huge friggin job with his post count!!!

NitroXErik
Brought it back to the top.
Some great photos on it.
All sorts of other threads, some much older showed up in searches, but not that one.
