Richard and son Adam returned from the UK to hunt with us over Easter. We had another cracker of a hunt. The highlight of the hunt was seeing 12 year old Adam mature into a fine young hunter. Last year he was unfortunate to get onto a kudu, this year his skills improved to the point where he took two fine kudu and some other fine trophies.

Tim and 2 friends from the UK hunted with us in late April. Jason and Jaco guided them to some fine trophies. I've posted Tim's trophy pics. The Tiny Ten was in his sights and he took five with us in this trip. His friends didn't want their photos posted and I didn't want to blur faces out.

We hope to hunt the remainder of the tiny ten with Tim in 2026 in Limpopo and KZN - suni, blue duiker, oribi, red duiker and sharpe's grysbok.

Thank you. Yes, we hunt grysbok at night, they’re almost exclusively nocturnal in our area.

Thanks Frank. We didn’t measure it as we hunted 4-5 good steenbok around that time. They were all around 5.5-6”. That one in the photo is probably 6”.

We had a fantastic hunt Troy and his wife Melissa in 2023 and were very excited to see Troy again in 2024. Marc accompanied Troy on his 2 on 1 safari with Jason as their PH.

Their hunting safari got off to a slow start due to a winter storm but they made up with it as the weather improved. There were many highlights and some lucky moments. Notably, a pack of dogs treeing a caracal whilst they were out hunting. Troy got a kudu, duiker, caracal and bushbuck. Marc hunted a sable, kudu and gemsbok.

Excited for 2025 hunt for spotted hyena and klipspringer in Limpopo! It's going to be another cracker of a safari

Richard and wife, Lin travelled from Idaho, USA to hunt and vacation with us in South Africa. Richard was successful on hunting the spiral slam.

They visited Addo Elephant National Park where they had good sightings of elephant and buffalo.

We were excited to welcome Kai to South Africa. Kai had initially planned to hunt with us in May 2023. Due to airline issues, we re-scheduled to May this year. Kai booked our 11 day plains game package and made the absolute most of his hunt, shooting some special trophies.

He had some once in a lifetime wildlife experiences, including a close encounter and mock charge with elephant while out hunting.

Victor, I sure enjoyed these pictures. Happy hunters, great trophies, and beautiful country. It is very green there. Did you get some good rains?

Thank you Brian. Had terrific rainfall, 451mm to be exact last year and already 350 mm this year. Well above average. The Karoo is blossoming again after that terrible drought we had.

We welcomed a large group of friends from Montana and Tennessee on a plains game hunt with us in July. Stacy hunted with Jaco as his guide, Jason guided Ken and Rob on their hunt and I toured with Andrea and Melinda showing them some of the highlights of the Karoo.

We split the 8-day hunt with some time at Karoo Wild Lodge and a few days in our Camdeboo concession hunting a variety of plains game. Stacy had the first African hunt of a lifetime taking over 20 animals during his safari including 2 black backed jackal, roan, sable, kudu, eland, nyala, golden wildebeest, common and black impala, a variety of blesbok and springbok colour variants, duiker, steenbok, black wildebeest and red hartebeest. He wasn't quite down done and took down the klipspringer of the season high up in the mountains above the lodge on the last morning.

Ken hunted our Kudu Hunting Package and got a fantastic kudu, gemsbok, impala and springbok. He also hunted a waterbuck, baboon and black wildebeest. Rob chose our Karoo Special Package and hunted a kudu, impala, springbok, zebra and added an eland, nyala, bushbuck, blue wildebeest, steenbok, duiker and sable to his hunt.

Old friends Chris and Carl hunted with us on their first ever African safari. Both of them chose to hunt our Spiral Slam Hunting Package

Jaco guided Carl and I guided Chris on their 8 day hunt for these species common to our area, but nevertheless still elusive prey for hunters. They chose to use our 7x64 mm rifles for their hunt.

Chris also hunted a magnificent zebra stallion. Carl chose to begin his quest to hunt the Tiny Ten by taking a magnificent steenbok while out hunting bushbuck

Jim returned to hunt cape buffalo. We hunted buffalo with Jim and his son, James in July last year and had a spectacular hunt taking two old dugga boys. This year, Jim brought his Chapuis 375 HH double with him.

Melissa accompanied Jim to South Africa and Lindsay and I showed them some of the sights and attractions of the Karoo.

Jim and were successful on our hunt taking an old eland bull and a wide, old buffalo bull. Jim made a terrific shot with a double at 120 yards. A long shot with a double rifle equipped with a red dot sight.

We spent a couple of days culling some impala rams, stalking to within 50 yards on occasion.

Geoff, from Australia, returned for his 3rd hunt with Karoo Wild Safaris. This time he brought his friend, Dave, for his first African Hunt. Myself and Jason guided them on their 12-day safari

Geoff is on a mission to complete his Tiny Ten and has now hunted all 7 endemic to the Eastern Cape. Next year we hunt in KZN for red duiker and suni and Limpopo for Sharpe's Grysbok.

Victor, that Vaalie is a monster and the Eland bulls are showing great character. Wonderful trophies!

Paul, from Weipa, Australia booked his first plains game hunt in Africa with us. We were honoured to guide Paul to some fantastic trophies and we had a lot of fun over the 11 days Paul hunted with us in the Karoo.

I guided Paul on his safari and he used my CZ 7x64 rifle. We hunted the Spiral Slam Hunting Package and added some additional species on opportunity.

We had an eventful trip through the Addo Elephant National Park and also had some close encounters with elephant, buffalo and white rhino whilst hunting.

Hope to hunt with Paul next year and help him plan a trip to Cape Town and Kruger National Park, some of the many tourist attractions that our beautiful country offers.
