Inyathi Hunters is not the same as Nyati Hunters. Units 2 and 3 are not under the same management or concession ownership as Unit 1. I hunted units 2 and 3 in '02 and again this year. Had a fabulous time, and felt I was dealing with respectable folks. Wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Wouldn't touch Unit 1, Nyati, or Out of Africa Safaris with a 10 foot pole.

I tried to read through this thread (and the one "linked in" above), but for the life of me, I can't see where Matetsi 1 comes into this, nor where the connection between that unit and either Inyathi or Nyati pops up??? But maybe I did not read closely enough, in which case, I'm sure somebody will point this out to me.

As far as I know (being a complete outsider), Matetsi 1 is being run by HHK. Apart from a (largely unsubstantiated?) discussion about to what extent HHK has dealings with people close to Mugabe's regime, they usually get first rate markings for their handling of safaris and areas on this board.

I would really like to hear more about Inyathi Hunters since I booked a hunt with them for this Sept. Cape Buff & Leopard top of the menu. Anybody, thanks Art
