NorwegianhunterHunting in Kwazulu Natal with Ally Robins and fishing at St.Lucia
Just arrived from a very successfull trip to Kwazulu Natal, I hunted with Ally Robins and stayed at Chick`s Game Lodge. We were 17 people and 5 of us where hunting Plains Game.

We had Nyala, Worthog, impala, Duiker Zebras and more on our program
Ally Robins is a very proffesional and high quality Outfitter and PH, and with his staff of PH we as client are secured the best there is, My PH Sean is one of the best I`ve ever hunted with, and we find the tone between us.
I shall not write so much, but put some photos with some text.
We had a very tight scedual with all the ladys and activity for them, even fishing and bathing, was om the scedual, safari at Hluhluwe game reserve also and of course shopping of Curiosas.
the first day I and my stepson Roar were looking for Worthog to start with, we saw a lot but they were too small or it was female, We sat at a mudhole, and we had nyalas, Impalas and much more within sight. I promised Roar before we go, that he could hunt for a impala if he wanted to, he had never hunted anything but Grouse and Hares before, but we ahd practiced with my rifle a Sako Finnbear in Caliber 375 H6H Mag, and he is a excellent shooter, When we were posted at the mudhole, a Very Nice Impala Ram apears in the open field and was taking his time, I wisphered to Roar that he could take this Ram if he wanted. We sat for about a halv an hour, and the Impala stood still with his broad side against us, OK Roar make his move took my rifle and put it in the shooting stick, he find the shoulder of the Impala and sceesed the trigger a perfekt shot and the ram was dead before he hit the ground, This scenes was so beatyfull in a hunters mind and it was Roars 1st bigger game he ever shot, Thats wy I write so much about it, A new hunter were born at that time, thats for shure.

The next day I was hunting for the Zebras, we were looking for a stallion and we must be shure that we shoot one from a bechelors group,
after some hunting in thick bush, the animals was hiding in the thick bush and shadow because of the heat.
We manage to come into the area of the group of 5 stallions, and one of the stallions stood alone under acasiaatree, at about 80 meter the 260 gr Nosler Accubond find the shoulder the Zebra kick bakcwords wich is a good sign and took of, we went to the place and try to find som blood, but nothing to find, Ok we walked slowly and carefully in the direction were the Zebra goes, and after 150 meters and no bloodtracks we saw it lay on te ground, I took him with a perfect shoulder shot.

We also had some plesant time at the lodge with cold beer and excellent food.
Next day we went for St.Lucia and fishing in the Indian ocean.
Fish on the hook, what can it be, shark.... or Tuna.
A tuna, but this fishing were fun and a fine break from the hunting
Ok back on shore, we go for more hunting, this time I will have a Worthog. We saw alot of worthogs and not many big ones, but they were there.
OK, we started to stalk in the area we were also looking for Red Duiker, so I loaded my rifle with the PMP 286 Solid bullet just in case of a Red Duiker, When we were stalking in the area, the Worthog apears in the bush, and I had to decide fast if I should shoot or not, Ok from halv standing behind a thick bush I find the shoulder a shott the Worthog took off. We went were the worthog was and wwe find blood, we followed the tracks and find more and more blood, and after 200 meters we find it dead under a thick bush. with a perfect heartshot.

A day later after a safaritour in the Game reserve, we go hunting for the Red Duiker, during these days we had locate where some of the Duikers were staying, and we go in these places, we were stalking into several Duikers and most of them were females or small males.
We took a brake at topp of a small hill, and suddently we saw one, no we saw two duikers, it was a pair, and the male seems to look good the PH told me that this seems to be a good Red Duiker. Ok I placed my rifle in the shootingstick and find just the aim behind the shoulder.
The shot hit perfect and the Duiker ran away and into some bushes 80 meters away, we followed after and he lay dead in the bush he went into, a small hole just behind the shoulder told me that it as a perfect hit.
A very nice trophy, even if the one point of the horns is broken this guy will go into the list it is a Gold medal trophy, I`m very happy, the horns is nearly 3 " high and over 3" around the bases, my PH will do the official measurment after 1 month of drying, and he said that this trophy wil give gold at the SCI and Rowland wards.
After 8 days with hunting and vacation we are back in Norway and the snow and the cold.
We were 5 hunters, and we shoot in 5 days 4 Impalas, 4 worthog. 3 Nyalas, 1 Red Duiker, 3 Zebras.
