R.JollyFor those who may be interested, I have just been informed that the official weights of the tusks are 46.2lbs and 44lbs (the broken one) The winners of the "guess weight" competition were Dyllas the camp manageress and Eddie the driver who each had 45 and 42. The rest of us were all under weight.
Congrats on your fine hunt and thanks for the great report!

MartyRob-
I just ran across you report while I was looking for something else. I don't know how I missed it when it was posted, but since I was preparing for my first ele hunt at the time, I'll claim I was too busy loading and shooting.
Great report and a fantastic bull. Glad to be members of the same club!

R.JollyThanks Marty
I was surprised to see this reappear. It brings back great memories. The two bulls I have taken in consecutive years since have been no less exciting and I am already making my plans for next year. Hunting elephant bulls is the purest form of hunting for me and I will do it for as long as I am able.

d.ungerCongratulations on a great hunt, many wonderful memories. I took my first elephant bull this past April as well in Chewore north. It was an experience like nothing else and I can't wait to do it again. Well done and thank you for sharing.

R. GunnRob--
Great historical post. You need to publish a journal of all your African adventures.
