N'gagiAnyone hunted with PH Andy Hunter in Zim?
It looks like I will be hunting with him in Chewore, but have never met him. BY everything I've heard, he's a good guy. He's with Ian Gibson at Big Five.
Anyone?

ScottWI just met him at SCI Reno. Very personable guy and one I could easily spend time with in the bush.

500grainsI have met him twice. He is a very serious and capable hunter and is well-respected for his abilities and the results he produces. If I were not hunting again with PHs with whom I have hunted before, Andy would be on my short.

ErikDI spent a few evenings with him in Chewore North, and would gladly hunt with him. He was a very decent guy.

Bill CI also was in camp with Andy for a week, and have corresponded with him since. IMO… He is a no-BS kind of guy and a good hunter who gets results. He likes to joke and you can bust on him, but he's not going to blow smoke either. He likes to walk and work during a hunt and will expect the same from you, knows Chewore very well, and is very organized and disciplined. Andy also coordinated the shipping of my trophies/tusks from Zim, which arrived to the US safely. I think you guys will pair up well. As Dan said, he's on my short list too. Bill

RamrodI spent a couple of days with him in '03 (hunted hippo one day) when he filled in at Chifuti Safaris when A. Dawson hurt his leg. I found Andy to be a real gentleman, 1st class PH, and a lot of fun to be around. As a result of that experience, I always wanted to hunt with him again and booked a hunt for this summer with him for lioness/croc. It got cancelled as lioness was taken off quota in Zim for '06. Croc quota was drastically reduced so I had to book an alternative hunt elsewhere. He operates out of Big Fives camp but they are losing their lease at the end of '06. I haven't heard where Ian and Andy will hunt after that but Andy will have first chance at my '07 trip. I couldn't get to SCI this year. Does anyone know what they will do in '07 ?

N'gagiSince I posted this so many years ago (or so it seems), I have shared a camp with Andy, done business with him on other matters and he has arranged for some shipments of goods for me from ZIM.
Absolutely, first class and professional..even when I called him at 3AM one time in a semi-emergency!
