N E 450 No2Accuracy International 50
Shot some 50 BMG rifles a couple of days earlier this week.
I have shot the Barrett M 82 quite a bit, and they performed well.
This was the first time I had an oppertunity to shoot the Accuracy International bolt 50.
This rifle is really nice.
It is far and away the best bolt 50 I have ever shot.
It feeds very slick, has smooth bolt operation, and has a match quality trigger.
With good ammo it is very accurate.
Scopes used were Nightforce 5-22, and US Optics [6-24 if I remember correctly.

Jim ManionI could not agree more. I think it is the best bolt action 50 out there in a non bench rest rifle.

EdmondI disagree

Jim ManionThat is debatable. Besides, ze rifle, she is French, no? I do like how the Hectate II sports that nifty shock absorber on the butt - bet it does well in the old drop test...
If you really want something to drool over, take a look at the AI AS50

EdmondI don't drool anymore on .50 semi auto since the day I could compare the Barret I hold in my avatar and the Hecate.

.500ProI think this would be a good question to ask the guys on the recieving end. Which is the best sure aint no unproven Hectate copy of the Nemisis.
We know it is the McMillin Tac50 in Bolt and Barret m107 in Semi that are dominating.
And yes the AI is a great weapon that is proven.
Hectate and the Nemisis for that matter have no confirmation of anything.
We all know that as soon as a Hectate hit CDG airport it will be late, lost but well fed.
Edmond now set me straight cause I spilled the Brandy on the keyboard. I need combat pictures LOL not that ugly link.
AI had some problems with some bad steel at one time didn't they?
I have a picture of an AI .50 with the barrel split down it's full length using some mil-spec loads.. I'll try and post it here...
If anyone wants one, Wade's Eastside Guns in Bellevue, Washington has one. I did not ask the price, but I would expect it to be 20k.
