bulldog563Advice please
Hey guys,
I have an AR-50 with a Leupold Mark 4 8.5-25X50 to be mounted on it. I purchased it right before the California ban on buying a 50 took effect as I had always wanted one and that was the push I needed. The problem is I live in the city and haven't been able to get out with it at all.
So basically I have a 1 year old, brand new, never fired AR-50 that I will not be able to use as it was intended in the great PRC. As a result I have been thinking about selling it to fund a custom big bore that will definitely see use in Africa.
What do you guys think is a fair price for the set up including 150 rounds of ball ammo (cost me 300) and where would be the best place to sell it?
Thanks in advance.

baboonBulldog,
You post got me thinking I should sell off my McBro's benchrest .50 to get something I would get more use out of.Now I have the same questions that you asked.

goneballisticSeems strange you can make it to Africa, but can't swing a trip out of town and down the road, to shoot your .50 now and then.
You have a lot of choices on where to sell your rifle. I would post it on the .50 cal boards like BH. You would probably do better if you seperated the scope and the rifle. A lot of folks saving up for a .50 can't afford both.

Priorities change. When my gun club banned the .50 bmg I was pissed, but life goes on.I have enjoyed hunting in Africa much more then ever just shooting targets.Of course shooting at targets has made me a better shot in Africa.
Hunting in Africa is kind of like drug addiction.Once you get a taste you want more of it.
