New Toy!!
I just got my new .358 Bellm back from David White! He did an excellent job on it! The crown is beautiful! Now I need to get some cases made. I'll be going home early today!! [Razz]

Congrats Bob!
I am interested in the results of your work with David White. Since there aren't many people around here who has had work done by him. I'm sure there are others who will be interested in the quality of his work as well.

I just got my 358 Bellm barrel back from David and all looks well also. He did use a different pattern for the 6 screw scope mount than I am used to seeing from Bellm and VVCG, but will work all the same. I have been too busy cleaning up hurricane Isabel issues to get to shoot it though.

Did you get a brake on this barrel?

Will be interested to see what recoil is like if you did NOT?

Is the the new choice for elk invaders?

Did not see a post on the sucess of the 308 Bellm last season, did you get to "test" it?

Aren't you glad she did not come inland with the 160 mph winds? [Eek!]

Nope, I didn't get the brake. It's a full 14" Barrel! Should be a handfull you think? I guess I find out! And I'll be sure to post my results here.
This is going to be my new elk gun, if I can get a load worked up before the season this year. If not the .308 Bellm will do nicely and I'll have all year to get a load worked up. And no I never got to blood the .308 last year. I got skunked on both Deer and Elk! I'll have to make up for that this year [Big Grin]

TCLou,
Amen on the hurricane winds!!! My barrel has the factory muzzle tamer, If it works well, I'll keep it on, if not it's going back to David to get chopped off and a recrown on the 12.5 inches left. Harder and harder to finds a 358 bore barrel for rechambering that doesn't have the muzzle tamer.
