T/CNutThe 444 is shooting good.....the '06 well.....
Whent shooting today and I'm very happy with my Super-14 .444 Marlin Contender and not so sure about my 15" Encore '06.I shot at a 9" paper plate at 200yrds.The 444 hit every time and grouped all shots center in a 3.5" to 4" group. The '06 shot far left and missed the plate. There was a little wind coming from the right maybe 2mph.I moved to 50yrds to see if my '06 was still shooting ok and all three shots were almost in the same hole.Go figure,if this much wind will send my '06 off target I think I will sell it and get another BIG BOOMER.Oh ya my load for the 444 was 47.2grs of H4198 with a 240gr XTP the '06 was 58grs of IMR4350 with a 150gr NBT.
