jcunclejoeFree, Shoot for free in Central Oregon
Shoot for free in Central Oregon (Bend). The COSSA (Central Oregon Shooting Sports Association) handgun silhouette club will provide everything needed for anyone to come and shoot for free. We will provide the gun, ammo, sight settings, coaching, spotting and we will waive the $5 fee for the first entry. Not a bad deal, we just need a warm body willing to try the exciting sport of handgun silhouette.
There is nothing like imposing your will at distances of up to 200 meters in less than a second and hearing that wonderful sound of a bullet striking a steel target.
If you are interested please e-mail me at jcunclejoe@aol.com or call after 5:30pm Pacific time 541-317-8801
We hold three matches a month and the guns used, range from 22LR to handcannons so there is something for everyone.
Thanks
Joe

Bobby TomekWhat a deal!!! That's a nice way to introduce new shooters to the sport -- and maybe generate some interest among verterans as well.

jcunclejoeHey guys, thanks for the interest. We may just be able to set you up with a free trial anyway. IHMSA matches are held all over the place and I'm sure we can arrange something closer to your homes.
The first thing is to take a look at the IHMSA website at
www.IHMSA.orgAbout half way down the main page it has a link to the 2006 match schedule. You can view it in excel or pdf. The matches are listed by state.
If there is a match close to you, please call or e-mail the match director and let them know about my offer.
I challenge any match director to match my offer. If necessary I can contact them for you and see if we can grease the wheels.
Or just let me know what match is closest to you and I'll contact them up front.
I absolutely love handgun silhouette and I want to share this much fun with the whole world.
Thanks again for the interest and I hope to see your names in the paper soon. Good luck and shoot well.
Joe

jcunclejoeI'll up the ante a bit.
If anyone, anywhere, would like to try handgun silhouette? Shoot me an e-mail and I'll find the nearest range or ranges to your location and I'll contact the local match director and challenge them to meet or beat my "shoot for free" offer.
Come on out and have some fun, busting steel.
Thanks
Joe
