Magnum......Cast Bullets
How did the 7MM cast bullets work out? I just placed and order for 250 of them (160grn) from Billy Marr.

Hi Fireball!

I am actually going to shoot the last of them tomorrow! The first groups were just ok but i think that there is something wrong. If i end up with the same results tomorrow, i am going to order more and then make a scope change.....

Let me know how they work out for you. I am using H110 & AA2015 powders in Win brass with WSR primers.... The twist on my barrel is 1-8 so i am sure that these will shoot well.....

My barrel for the TCU is a factory barrel. Don't know what the twist is But maybe not enough for the 160 grain bullet.
I will let you know the results.

I shot another 20 today and have nothing fantastic to report. I believe that i have found the majority of my problem. It appears that paralax is causing the inconsistent groups!! I am going to try another round with a different scope and see if that solves the problem....

BTW, no leading from these bullets at all and I am running them purty hard.....

Might I suggest some Lead Heads 7-145's, they are really about 150 grain. Be happy to send you some to try, you ante up the shipping, I'll supply the bullets. I have a lot of customers, including me that shoots them very successfully. Don't worry about leading or anything, you'll need about a thousand fps more from that TCU before you'd have any concern.
