12.9x50.8jdjT/C contender 10in 44 hotshot ---Rare or Not ??
Years ago I found a T/C contender in a 44 hotshot.
It has a 10 inch tapered Oct barrel with an ext removable choke and 4 ports in the barrel. I can find no listing for such a gun and T/C isnt saying much. The peice is in great condition.
Happy Shooting
Fred

T/C nimrodGood luck with that one! The first Contender I bought came with an 8" 44 mag w/ shot choke - most uncomfortable barrel I've ever shot. And the shot choke - unless you need something to dispatch snakes at 3 feet - totally useless (IMO).

eshellMine, purchased in '71, came w/ the .357 mag & ext. choke.
I almost never shot it with shot, since the hotshots were rare and the Speer capsules, with their square front edge, would hang up in the throat, coming apart if removed without firing. Neither were particularly impressive, but did far outclass .22 shot.
I also have a full box of .44 hot shot cartridges, never shot since I never ended up getting the choke model .44 bbl..
The .45 LC/410 was a lot of fun and surprisingly effective, I shot that one a lot, including skeet. Opposite the .357, I left the tube on that one and never fired a .45LC in it.
