475/480Re: Gary Reeder TC 10" Barrel -SW 500
The grips are factory rubber,This barrel has a 2" brake on it so that helps the recoil some.
The most accurate load so far is the 350gr Keith 1-1/2" at 50 yds w/Bushnel 2x6 ,but I still have alot of shooting to do with the other bullets.

Bill/OregonSean: That sounds like a hell of a barrel for hunting big game. And you could make up some black powder loads and essentially have a .50-70. Is this in the Encore frame or a Contender?

475/480Took the TC 500 barrel out this weekend shooting cast bullets from moulds I have.
350gr MM-Keith--H110 -43.0gr--1881 avg.
400gr MM-WFNGC--WC820-41.0gr--1822 avg.
**************--WC820-42.0gr--1874 avg.
425gr LBT-LFNGC-AA1680-46.0gr-1402 avg.
465gr MM-WFNGC--Blue Dot-23gr-1339 avg.
575gr MM-WFNGC--WC680--38.5gr-1410 avg.
The abbreviated letters are the mould makers.
MM stands for mountainmolds,LBT stands for LBT

The 400gr and 350gr loads,I gained 200 fps over the SW 500 8-3/8" bll.
Average gain over the SW 500 8 3/8" bll is 75 fps.
