<T. D. Clevenger>25 Classic...
I'm really excited. Nearly broke, but excited.
The dies for the 25 Classic came from Todd Kindler in LESS than 24 hours after I called him. Amazing. The VV barrel and a new stock set from EA Brown should be here today.
I haven't even owned a 25 since a 14" 250 Savage Imp. from SSK that I had several years ago.
I've have a 303 Epps at a gunsmith since before Christmas with no word on when or if I'll ever see it again. And a rechamber to 22mag. that's also getting late (it's not late yet, but close). But, it looks like I may get to play with the 25 classic this weekend!
Somebody please (Dan?) post about how well this new barrel is likely to shoot.

I'm headed out of town Sunday afternoon but will try to sum up my load data and get it along to you. If you have RL-7, RL-10X, AA2460, or Varget I can be of assistance.
My barrel is doing very well with 70gr through 110gr bullets...that's about the entire weight range for .257" bullets! I think the most effective will be the 70gr through 90gr'ers. There is one grave downside to the load work I have done so far...a great deal of the development has been with Starke Bullets. And as most know by now...they are no more.

<T. D. Clevenger>I look forward to hearing from you.
I have most of the powders you mention and look forward to also trying a few others in that burn rate range.
The stock and forearm are here, as are the dies. I have 100 rounds of 30 Herrett ready to reform to fit the barrel when it gets here. It was supposedly shipped on Tuesday, but it hasn't made it here yet.
I don't know if I'll use the 3.5-10 Leupold or the 6.5-20 Leupold on the new barrel. That bigger power scope comes with the cost of having a large scope on a relatively short gun. I guess I'll decide after the barrel gets here and I see what the assembled outfit looks like.
VV didn't mention that my barrel has a break on it, but the description at the list of available barrels did. Also, I'm not clear as to whether the barrel is 20 or 21 inches long. Either way is okay, but once again my phone conversation is a little at odds with the list.
I do look forward to hearing from you Dan B.
