Jules414 Super Mag
Since my other project fell through
Mike Bellm had mentioned this round. I can get the brass from Starline and the 41mag dies will work.
I remember seeing a Dan Wesson in this round long ago. Anyone out there ever own one? Now don't everyone answer at one time.
Well, I just thought at least one person had one at one time or another.

Magnum MikeJules,
How about the 41GNR #1 or 41GNR #2?
The #1 is 44mag necked down to 41 and the #2 is 445 necked down.....

JulesYea I know and I almost hate to ask this, but, will Gary sell me the dies without the barrel?

<wildcat51>Jules,
Gary Reeder custom dies are Redding, $90 I believe. He is just finishing up a 7mm GNR 20" barrel for me made from a Shilen blank. Promised time was 4-6 weeks. This is my first Reeder barrel so I can't really form an opinion yet. Go to his web site. There are some cool pictures of his custom rounds. Maybe you might be tempted to order a barrel and dies.

<centerpunch>Everybody tries to beat Elgin's rounds AND can't. Stick with the 414. I have had three, a Wesson, a "homebrewed" rechamber (T/C 14") and an SSK (T/C 14"). The SSK is best and velocities (w/ 255 G/C WFN) approach 1800 fps.
A potent round, a bit of a "wristwrencher" but will down anything you hit. Avoid the .41 bullets less than 200 gr. ESPECIALLY the 170, which is about like a hand grenade.
n.b. NOT as temp. sensitive as the 357 Max.
