mbkRing Bases for T/C Octagon Barrels?
After years of avoiding octagon barrels for my Contenders I finally ended up with a couple. The darn things appear to want to shoot better than I can see with open sights, hence my question. Is there a reasonably priced base available the will fit and look decent on a Contender barrel that uses 1" rings? The Weaver bases are so long they do not look good hanging over where the contour transitions to octagon, so I bought a Leupold base and it does not look that great either. I have one of the old T/C-Bushnell rail bases and scope combo's now on a bull barrel that I could switch over, but I was looking for more options on chosing a scope by having rings. What have you all done to mount scopes on octagon barrels?
Thanks, Mike
