I asked this in the Classified and haven't had any responses.
I'm looking for a .444 Marlin Fl Die that I can modify for resizing cases for the Spring Back Test that Don Shearer has developed. On the outside the die doesn't have to be pretty. As I said it's going to be modified. The only requirement is the inside needs to be good!
If you got one laying around, I sure could use it!!

Grab a Lee sizer die, stripped, from their website. You'll need to shorten it up some to size the web down enough.(About up to the threaded area) I shortened mine carefully on a grinder nice and evenly, and checked for web reduction through trial and error, then spun it in the drill press and radiused the entry point at the mouth of the die with a small grind stone held in hand. Works well for the web sizing. Clean the die WELL between an after grindings.

If you are using it for 35 cal and up, you will need to bore out the threaded portion where the decapper would go. Below 35 cal should be OK to use as is for clearance.

Very good Bob,

Forgot to mention that some #600 Wet/Dry paper works well for final polishing around the mouth of the die to smooth it up followed by a little Flitz for a mirror finish.

Another tool that does a super job of finishing off these little specialty job is the little Dremel rubber wheel - the one that has the hard abrasive particle imbeded in it. Just chuck up the die in your drill press and while it is turning, polish a radius onto the bottom end of the die using the Dremel wheel. It puts a good finish on it that won't scratch the brass at all.
