Verno30 Bellm #2
Mike, I have asked before about something like this(didn't ask you). I wanted a 30 cal on a 445 SM. Could you not make your 30 Bellm 1.6" long and use the same dies, etc.? I always wanted less than a 308 Bellm, but more than the 30 Bellm. Whats your take on this?

Wildcat CrazyVerno,
.445SM necked to .30 caliber is no problem. I have one based on the 30-06 chamber shortened to a
shoulder length of 1.1".Instead of .445SM brass I
use .303 Br.or .35 Rem.It has a case capacity of 34.1grs. of water,that is between a 7.62x39 and a
.30 Herrett in capacity.I call it the .30 HLS CHEAPSKATE.
Dies are made by grinding the base of 30-06 to
length.
I don't use .445SM brass because of the price of it,mainly because I'm a CHEAPSKATE.
