ray in seattle.....somehave have a pic of a Wichita please.....
Somewhat interested in buying one, but can't find a photo....it's in 7RInt., necked down 30/30, 10" barrel. Would someone know, would I have to stay with this same boltface size when rebarreling to another caliber? Thanks, r in s.

Melvin in SCRay,
There is no bolt, as such, in the Wichita Single Shot. It is a breakdown action, similar to the TC Contender. Wichita makes a bolt action pistol similar to the XP100, but not in the 7 Int. R caliber. They did make the bolt action in 7 IHMSA, which is based on a 300 Savage case shortened.
Hope this helps,
Melvin

DidIFire5or6gunbroker.com had recent auctions for both models. Yhe break action drew no interest, the bolt action drew quite some interest, and it's living with me now. This is a highly customized version(trigger, stock, extremely tapered & fluted bbl), whose pix should still be available, See listings 26793469.
