I had spoke to Mike a while back about that & was leaning heavy to that 222Rem mag improved. Let me know if you go ahead with the 223 Ackley Improved.

JulesRich,
If I were doing a rechamber then I would probably go for the 222mag Imp. But since it's going to be a new barrel and I have alot of 223 brass, i'm gonna try the 223imp. I'm not really looking for more speed, I just like them funny lookin shoulders

Should be a good one.

JulesGot the 223imp. on order from mbmco. I'm trying it on one of those $50. barrels from Les. I'm going to have Mike do a 1" step up barrel 20" long. Got the Redding dies from Midway. $56. with shipping.
I'll have to rework a forend for 1" though, but that shouldn't be to hard.
Anyone got any suggestions on fire forming this case??

Gary TJules, Sounds like a "winner" of a project!

One question--what is this "$50 barrel from Les" you're referring to?

I'd like to more, if you don't mind. Let us know how it turns out w/ MBMCO.

B_KoesFYI: Lee tells me that I can use my regular .223 collet neck sizing die without problem on the .223 AI. Some will laugh at me for suggesting Lee dies (right Mark?), but they do a great job on my Hornet brass. I've also got a Redding body die and their competition seating die on order.
