contender85Fajen Bigshot grip and Forend
Somebody here was looking for one of these recently, there's a new set for sale on eBay,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1864868458It's up to $125.00, that's more than I'd pay for it but I guess it depends on how bad you want one.

Can you provide more info on the stocks you mention? Don't think (just ask my wife and daughters...) I've ever heard of them.
THanks,

Sean VHA #60013Steve,
The thumbhole grips I am speaking of are those I use on my long range rifle-scope equiped rimfire T/Cs. They are put out by a fellow in CA who owns Western Gunstock, and also distributed by EABCO.
They are only available in semi-finished form, though the Foxridge Outfitters used to sell them fully finished in both a stock and a grip version. Now Foxridge only deals in the stock.
Here are some pics of the last one I ordered, in the midst of being finished.
And here it is finished and on the Match 22lr turtle gun.
These are available from EABCO for $119.00 in semi-finished fully inlettd form, and also come with a target width forend.

Sean VHA #60013Steve,
These are the finest grip I have ever used for long range rested shooting of a Contender.
Not very good for off-hand, but I do not believe that they were really meant for such
Give me one of these grips, a 11" VVCG or Bullberry free-floated forend, a 6br Harris bipod, a good target rifle scope, and a mild to medium recoiling 14" + barrel, and I will have much fun anihilating little varmints at long range

Sean VHA #60013Steve,
Yes, I noticed that the other day when I was thumbing through the old issues of the VHA Magazines I was sent.
Old George Peterson [Western Gunstock owner] is an interesting fellow to talk to. He makes these thumbhole stock sets in a curly maple and some other interesting woods as well.
