has anyone tried 130 gr barnes tsx in encore 308 pistol with 15 inch barrel what do you think about the bullet

Woodrow SI am a bit suspect of Barnes bullets in very short barrels, due to a high minimum velocity for good expansion, and the lowered velocity of those short barrels. I like Accubonds for that reason and in some cases ballistic tips work even better. You need the bullet to expand in a reliable fashion down to around 1700fps to work at the reduced velocities of short barrels and this power level.

MuskegManI used the 130 TSX last fall out of a .30-30 carbine (21" bbl) Contender.
Took a nice Sitka blacktail with it. Pretty much dropped in it's tracks. Fairly close range - about 75 yds. Probably around 2,500 fps MV.
