I've read about a couple of people getting 460 S&W barrels for their Encore's. Couldn't you just get a factory .454 casull barrel rechambered? Would the the same go for .480 -> .475 Linebaugh?

I'd rather have one 'smith to work with if things don't turn out as planned. If you rechamber a 454 or 480 both the mfg and the smith might be inclined to credit the other for any issues. It might even be cheaper to go custom the first time... Good hunting!
