Re: .308 Bellm custom barrels
Mike,

How practical would this round in a plain old bolt action rifle?

Just curious,

seafire,

I am not Mike, but I think I would stick with a regular 308 Win. in a bolt rifle. The whole idea that I can gather from Mike's site was to use the 444 Marlin case to utilize the rim and the regular dies of the 7mm-08, 308, and 358, corresponding to the 7mm, 308, and 358 Bellm.

Other than all of that, I think it would be O.K. to use, but personally I would just save the trouble and stick to something easier! You should take a look around Mike's site sometime if you already haven't. Lots of good info there.
