pahandgunhuntersorry...12" contender barrel
any suggestions for loads???

KYODEyou may take the most accurate powder charge, load at 4 different depths, in .010" increments and find that accuracy will come alive at a different seating depth, even with the same bullet and powder.
2266fps with 165's and 1" groups looks pretty dang good.

pahandgunhunterMaybe I think too much.
I think the heavier(longer) bullets do not have proper twist/barrel length to stablize properly, especiality at low velocity. Effective barrel length is 12" less cartridge length of 2.999"!!!
I will try the 130 gr Sat with the Varget powder again. Will let you guys know what happens.

HobieWhat's the twist rate? Even in a .30 Herrett with 1:14" the 165s will stabilize.
