Extractor Bent...
The extractor is bent in at the top and the bottom of the extractor will not go in all the way flush, can I pry it out in while on the barrel? Or is this a send it in to be fixed deal? I can close this barrel in the frame, but I have to slam it hard to do so.
This is a used barrel, new to me, never fired by me.
I also noticed the locking pins are looser than my other barrels, they can wiggle alot and move side to side more than I think they should.

If the extractor is bent at the "L", it's possible that it was hot-loaded and someone tried to jack the case out by banging the action open a few times to break the stuck case loose with the extractor thus bending it. One of my used barrels was like that.

What cartridge is it chambered for?

You should be able to, once the barrel is off the frame, remove the small 1/16" roll pin that retains the extractor in the barrel lug, then take a pin punch and carefully tap the extractor out from the front slot in the lug (beveled end of extractor). Then order a new extractor in the appropriate cartridge head size from TC.

It's possible that the lug was also bent down at the bottom of the slot in the lug directly below the bolts. But it usually takes a lot to do that.

It is chambered for 7mm TCU. Yes, It is bent at the "L". I notice also it looks to have some pry marks at the edge of the slot for the extractor.
I also notice that the roll pin close to the barrel looks to have been tappped in before.
I just got this barrel today, are these signs of something to be worried about, like a POS barrel???

If you're pretty sure it's bent and won't work, just call TC and order a new extractor. Seems like they are around $7. Sometimes they won't even charge you. I've bent one and broken another. It's simple to change out. Just punch out the roll pin that holds it in, put in the new one and replace the pin.... 5 minute job, tops.

Ya just call T/C, tell them you just bought a used bbl with a bent extracter, they'll ask what cal/kind and send you a new one free.
At least they did for me.

Well, I got the parts ordered.. [Smile]
Extractor, extractor spring, & extractor stop pin (roll pin).
I'm going to remove the old extractor tonight and make sure it will close without it in, I'm sure it will.
I don't know what I would do if I did not have you guys to ask questions. Around here, T/C knowledge is far and few.
The reps @ T/C were VERY helpful, good people to talk with. Yes they did charge me for the parts, $10 covered it all, including shipping.
Thanks again to all,
